Continental unveils transparent MicroLED Display for in-car infotainment systems
Automotive supplier Continental showcased a transparent MicroLED Display made with Swarovski Crystals for in-car infotainment systems at CES 2024 in Las Vegas. This new technology has the potential to become the standard equipment in luxury vehicles in the future.
The MicroLED Display uses self-lit pixels, making it appear transparent when exposed to increased ambient light and providing better contrast than other display technologies.
Despite its transparent and delicate appearance, Swarovski’s technology is used to make the crystal display more durable. Continental believes that its transparent display technology will enhance the distinctiveness further for vehicles, particularly luxury cars. However, there is no available information released about which car manufacturers have signed contracts to use this latest-technology MicroLED Display.
