Good news! The Motorway Will Be Free to Use for 8 Days During the New Year 2025 Period

The Department of Highways, under the Ministry of Transport, has announced a waiver of toll fees on two major motorways

Special Highway No. 7 (Bangkok - Chonburi - Pattaya) and Special Highway No. 9 (Outer Ring Road of Bangkok) for a total period of 8 days to facilitate and reduce expenses for the public during the New Year's holiday.

Toll-free routes
  1. Motorway No. 7
    • Bangkok – Chonburi – Pattaya
    • Main intersections: Bang Wua, Chonburi, Laem Chabang Port, Pattaya, Ban Nong Prue – Ban Chang

  2. Motorway No. 9
    • Phra Pradaeng – Bang Khae section (Phra Pradaeng – Bang Khun Thian Interchange)
    • Bang Pa-in – Bang Phli section
The toll exemption period will start from 00.01 AM December 26, 2024 to 12.00 AM January 2, 2025

The Department of Highways explained that the reason for the toll exemption is that during the New Year, there are many people traveling. The toll exemption helps reduce traffic congestion and ease the burden of people's expenses. It also helps make travel faster and more convenient.
