Did you know? International driving licenses can now be obtained through the Paotang app!

Now you can apply for an international driving license yourself via the “Paotang” application in just a few steps. What do you need to prepare and how do you do it? Motorist has the answer!

Qualifications for International Driving License

International driving permit applicants must have held a personal car driving license or a temporary personal motorcycle driving license for at least 1 year.

Required documents

1. A full-face photo taken within the last 6 months, dressed in formal attire, glasses allowed, file size not exceeding 5 MB, white background and no shadows.

Conditions

• Passport must have more than 6 months remaining validity
• Driver's license must have more than 3 months remaining validity

Steps to apply

1. Enter the "Paotang" application
2. Select the "Service" menu
3. Select the "Department of Land Transport" menu
4. When you see the documents you need to prepare, press the Next button
5. Select the type of international driving license (corresponding to the country you are traveling to)
   • Geneva Convention 1949, valid for 1 year, valid in 102 countries
   • Vienna Convention 1968, valid for 3 years, valid in 91 countries
6. Enter your ID card information, then scan your face
7. Upload a prepared full-face photo
8. Enter your delivery address and pay fee

That's it, you can get your international driving license to use abroad in just a few minutes!
