What is Car Tax and Why Do You Have to Pay?

Car tax is an annual fee that all car owners must pay to keep their vehicles legally registered. The funds collected are used to improve the country’s transportation infrastructure. After paying the tax, you’ll receive a Tax Sticker (pink and blue) to place on your car’s windshield as proof that your car is up to date with the required payments. If you don’t renew your car tax on time, you could face a fine of up to 2,000 THB!
