What to Do When Your Car Paint Got Scratched?

Car paint scratches or scratches, whether from a collision, a tree branch scratch, or other causes, can make car owners feel uncomfortable.

First, you should assess the damage of the scratch. If it is just a shallow scratch on the glossy coating, it can be fixed by using a scratch remover product such as car polish cream. The method is to start by cleaning the scratched area thoroughly. Then, use a soft cloth to apply the polish cream to the scratch and rub gently until the scratch fades. In the case of very small scratches, you can use a touch-up pen that matches the car color to help cover the scratch.

For scratches that are deep into the paint or metal, you should fix them immediately to prevent rust. You can start by applying a primer to the scratched area first, then add the real color to blend it in. If you feel that it is too difficult, it is recommended to take your car to a service center or professional body shop to get the best paint job possible.

Although scratches are difficult or impossible to avoid, proper care and repair will help your car look new and last longer!
