Vauxhall Mokka Coffee-E: A Car with a Mobile Café

British automaker Vauxhall has unveiled an innovative new concept with the Vauxhall Mokka Coffee-E, a concept car featuring a fully equipped coffee bar in the trunk—known as the "boot" in the UK.

Designed to suit the lifestyle of modern drivers, the concept is based on market research showing that 80% of Vauxhall owners are coffee enthusiasts, with 64% drinking coffee daily. Additionally, 75% of electric vehicle users choose their charging stops based on the proximity of coffee shops.

Battery Performance and Driving Range

The Mokka Coffee-E is powered by a battery that delivers up to 252 miles per charge. Using a rapid charger, the battery can go from 0% to 80% in just 30 minutes—a time frame that Vauxhall describes as "perfect for a coffee break."

A Professional-Grade Coffee Bar in Your Car

Developed from the popular Mokka Electric, the Mokka Coffee-E is equipped with a variety of coffee-making options, including:

• A single-group espresso machine
• A dedicated coffee grinder
• A chrome single-serve pod machine
• A separate milk steamer for creating perfect milk froth

The car also includes a complete set of coffee accessories, such as a knock box, WDT tool, scales, and a tamper. The grinder, knock box, and a mini fridge are neatly stored within a specially designed cabinet featuring Alcantara-covered doors. The coffee preparation area includes a pull-out table for convenience.

Specialty Coffee by Cafeology

Vauxhall has partnered with UK-based specialty coffee roaster Cafeology to create a custom coffee blend that complements the style of the Mokka lineup.

James Taylor, Managing Director of Vauxhall, stated, "The UK is a nation of coffee lovers, consuming around 95 million cups per day. Vauxhall owners are no different, with 64% enjoying at least one cup daily. Whether it’s a latte, flat white, cappuccino, or espresso, the Mokka Coffee-E has everything needed to craft the perfect cup—wherever its 54kWh battery takes you."

Although the Mokka Coffee-E remains a concept car, the idea showcases the seamless blend of electric vehicle technology and coffee culture. This innovative approach could pave the way for future trends in mobile cafés and lifestyle-focused automotive design!
